Fellows attended a 2-day complementary skills session

The complementary skills session was organized by the University of Cambridge and Dr Geraint Wyn Story (@CamTrainAssoc) and took place at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) from 11 to 12 September 2017.

The two-day session covered four essential topics: academic writing, time management, communication skills and exploring cultural differences, and presentation skills. Attendees were involved into the writing style revision, discussed the major types of “time-stealers”, practiced limited verbal communication techniques and learned new approaches to building their presentations.
